The dynamic forces of competitive energy supply launched by FERC Order Nos 888 and 2000 and the most recent Standard Market Design Notice of Proposed Rulemaking have unleashed dramatic changes in the electricity industry. Taught by leading professionals with broad experience in restructuring in various jurisdictions around the world, who present key aspects of the most important challenges faced by the industry, the EEI School will introduce you to all of the major issues being discussed today, as well as the industry basics, to prepare you for those debates. The three-and-a-half day School will give you an excellent understanding of electric operations and of the key issues in regional transmission organization (RTO) development, emerging transmission business structures, and how electricity markets work here and abroad. You will gain exposure to the broad trends in the industry, who the players are, as well as the key drivers and policy questions in this exciting and rapidly evolving industry. The School presentations are made accessible through the use of examples and simulations and do not require a technical background.
